Official Launch of the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network
press release
05 December 2025

We’re proud to share that the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network (EE-Net) has officially launched its Southeast Asia Chapter - a major milestone for entrepreneurship education in our region.

Held on 25 November 2025 at the ASEAN Technology Cooperation & Development Summit Gala Dinner in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the launch was officiated by His Highness Tengku Amir Shah, Crown Prince of Selangor.

The UNESCO EE-Net Singapore National Chapter was represented by Ryan Isaiah Lim from Reactor School and John Pang from The Global Citizen Education Group, as part of the Singapore delegation contributing to this growing regional community.

Hosted by the Asia Institute of Sustainability, Entrepreneurship & Diplomacy (AiSED) under the leadership of Dato’ Steve Cheah, the chapter marks the first regional co-operative of EE-Net. Representing UNESCO Asia Pacific were Ms. Maki Katsuno-Hayashikawa from the UNESCO Regional Office in Jakarta, Ms. Marina Patrier, UNESCO Bangkok and Mr Santosh Khatri, UNESCO Jakarta, who played pivotal roles in championing this initiative and fostering regional collaboration.

For many years, the UNESCO EE-Net has connected policymakers, educators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to advance innovation and sustainable development aligned with the UN SDGs. The Southeast Asia Chapter will further this mission by empowering youth, enabling educators, and deepening regional partnerships.

Congratulations to all partners involved, and here’s to continuing the work of building a stronger, more connected entrepreneurship education ecosystem across Southeast Asia.
